Levi's Hope
Accessible Van Grant 2026

Levi’s Hope was founded out of our family’s personal journey after our son Levi was diagnosed with LMNA-related Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (L-CMD) in 2014. Since then, we have experienced firsthand the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that come with a life-altering diagnosis. Through Levi’s Hope, our mission is simple:

Provide hope by supporting families dealing with a life-altering diagnosis.

​

In celebration of the 10th Annual Levi’s Hope 5K Run/Walk, we are honored to announce that Levi’s Hope will be gifting one family a handicap-accessible van in July 2026.

​

We understand how life-changing reliable, accessible transportation can be for families navigating mobility challenges, medical equipment needs, and frequent appointments. Our goal is to bless a family in a meaningful and practical way while also sharing a story of hope with our community.

What the Selected Family Will Receive

The selected family will receive:

• A handicap-accessible van customized to meet their needs

• Financial assistance to help offset potential tax liability associated with receiving the vehicle

• An all-expenses-paid trip to beautiful Cavalier, North Dakota in July 2026

• Lodging, meals, and travel expenses covered for the immediate family

• A special presentation during the Levi’s Hope 5K event on July 18, 2026

 

Yes… we really do mean all expenses paid. We want this to be a joyful, stress-free experience for your family.

Eligibility

​

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

• Child diagnosed with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (CMD) or a related neuromuscular condition impacting mobility

• The child must be 10 years old or younger

• Priority consideration will be given to families affected by LMNA-related Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (L-CMD) due to Levi’s personal connection

• Demonstrated need for accessible transportation

• Reside within the United States or Canada

• Willingness to share your family’s story publicly if selected (photos, video, interviews, etc.)

 

Timeline

• Applications Open: February 2026

• Application Deadline: April 1, 2026

• Family Selected & Notified: Mid April, 2026

• Van Presentation Event: July 18, 2026 in Cavalier, North Dakota

Selection Process

​

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee connected to Levi’s Hope. Families will be evaluated based on need, impact, and how an accessible vehicle would improve daily life. Our desire is to choose a family whose story reflects both challenge and hope.

Due to the nature of this gift, we unfortunately can select only one family this year. We deeply honor every family who applies and recognize the courage it takes to share your story.

• Completing this application does not guarantee selection.

• Levi’s Hope may request additional information or references during the review process.

• The selected family must be willing and able to travel to North Dakota in July 2026 to receive the vehicle in person.

• By applying, you acknowledge that Levi’s Hope may use submitted photos, videos, and story details for fundraising and promotional purposes if your family is selected.
